VOUSSORIMatins · Edition I Back to the codex

The original

Burn a folio and the same sheet is struck on real parchment, by hand, and posted to you. The plate you give up is the plate you receive. Nothing else is printed from it. This runs in announced rounds rather than continuously, so wait for one to open before you burn anything.

Checking whether a round is open…
Burning cannot be undone. A burned folio is gone from your wallet and from the market for good. You are trading a token that can be sold for a sheet that cannot. Do this because you want the sheet, and only while a round is open. A folio burned between rounds cannot be claimed and cannot be given back.

Send the folio to the fire.

There is no burn button on the contract. Burning is done the way it has always been done on chain: the folio is sent to an address nobody holds the keys to, which puts it beyond anyone's reach including ours.

The burn address

Check it character by character before you send. An address typed wrong sends the folio somewhere else entirely, and that is just as permanent.

  1. Wait for a round to openAnnounced on @voussoriart and shown at the top of this page. Burning outside one cannot be claimed.
  2. Open the folio in your walletAny wallet that holds it and can send an NFT will do.
  3. Send it to the burn addressA normal NFT transfer. Gas on Arc is paid in USDC.
  4. Copy the transaction hashYour wallet or the explorer will show it once the transfer confirms. It starts with 0x and is 66 characters long.
  5. Fill in the claimThe next tab. We check the hash on chain before anything is struck.

What arrives

The same plate, at the same size, printed on real parchment and finished by hand. It carries the folio number it had on chain, so the sheet and the record agree. It is posted worldwide at no cost to you.

Striking and posting take time. Expect weeks rather than days, and longer where customs is slow. We write to you when it is sent. Rounds are opened when there is capacity to strike and post properly, which is why they are announced rather than always on.
